Belleperche Abbey - Museum Tableware
Propriété du Conseil Général de Tarn-et-Garonne, l'abbaye de Belleperche dévoile le charme de ses vastes salles
Installed in 1143 on the bank of the Garonne, rebuilt on enormous supporting walls in the 13th century, it was one of the three richest Cistercian monasteries in the South. Rebuilt once again in the 18th century, it now offers you its imposing majesty and serves as a setting for the tableware museum.
Through the exhibition "La table est mise!", Discover the set tables and a rich collection of services, dishes, plates, glasses, cutlery, decorations, porcelain, earthenware, crystal, in silver and other metals, and see how each era lived the conviviality of the table. Upstairs, in the huge gallery of the old hotel, tea lovers and beautiful objects will marvel at the fabulous collection, unique in Europe, of Chinese stoneware teapots by Yiwing from the 16th century to the present day.
